She obtained her professional qualification as a geologist in 2012 and the academic title of PhD in Earth Sciences at the University of Pisa, in 2016. During her doctorate she studied at the Center Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC, Castelldefels, Spain) as a “visiting PhD student” for a period of 9 months. She received the "Award for the PhD Thesis 2017, for the Class of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences", issued by the President of the Tuscan Academy of Sciences and Letters "La Colombaria". In 2017 she worked for one year as a consultant geologist in the research and development division at NHAZCA S.r.l., a spin-off of the Sapienza University of Rome.
From 2018 to 2023 she was a research fellow at the Department of Earth Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome, for the scientific disciplinary sector GEO/05, and she’s working as RTDA from April 2023 in the same sector disciplinary science. Since 2018 she has been a member of the CERI Research Center of the same University.
Since September 2022 she has been Guest Editor of the Special Issue "Monitoring Geohazard from Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry", of the scientific journal Remote Sensing, an open access journal, MDPI (impact factor 2022: 5.349).
In the academic year 2022-2023 she was a contract professor at the Guglielmo Marconi Telematic University, master’s degree course in Civil Engineering LM-23, for the 12 CFU (30 hours) course entitled: “Survey techniques for land monitoring”, Scientific disciplinary sector GEO/05, and for the 6 CFU course, entitled: "Laboratory of land monitoring techniques".
