Loan rules and borrowing information
Registration is free of charge and open to all. To join the Library users are asked to fill the Registration form and give a copy of a document (I.D. Card, Passport). All members are automatically entitled to free borrowing from the Library.
- Students and external readers can borrow up to 2 books for 15 days
- Ph.D and Departmental Staff can borrow up to 5 books for 2 months
- Researchers and Professors can borrow up to 10 books for 4 months
Books may be renewed once at the Library Helpdesk or over the phone by contacting the Library Staff.
Borrowers are responsible for items so long as these are checked out in their names and are also responsible for informing the Library, in a timely manner, of any inaccuracies in their current loan records. If the Library materials are lost or damaged a replacement copy will be recharged to the person responsible and other sanctions may be applied.
Users cannot borrow:
- Bibliographical and reference books
- Ancient books
- Serials
- Cartographic resources
Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery
The Library provides free ILL ad DD both for users and for libraries. Please contact the Library staff for further informations.
