Dec.1990, Degree in Geology (with distinction), University of Perugia” (Italy). Thesis: “Recent magmatic activity along the Mt. Martani fault (Umbria-Italy) – geologic and petrologic study”.
1991-1995, PhD course in Earth Sciences, University of Perugia. 
1992-1995, several short periods as visiting researcher at the Institute of Geochronology and isotopic geochemistry – CNR of PISA (ITALY)
Oct. 1996, PhD in Earth Sciences, Dissertation: “Petrology of the Late-hercynian dyke magmatism from Sarrabus (South-eastern Sardina – Italy)”. 
Teaching University of Rome “La Sapienza” - Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.

  2. Alkaline-carbonatitic magmatism of Brazil
  3. Cenozoic-Quaternary magmatism of the circum-mediterranean realm (Italy, Egypt, Red Sea, southeastern Spain);
  4. Ultrabasic and ultrapotassic magmatism;
  5. Miocene mixed carbonate-siliciclastic systems of the Western Mediterranean area Prediction of evolution of geological instabilities processes; 
  6. Inorganic and microbially mediated carbonate precipitation in natural and anthropic hypogeal environments.
  7. Mineralogy and petrography, decay and conservation of Cultural Heritage natural and artificial building materials.

  • Component of the Sapienza University research project (year 2020) - Biocalcification crisis during Cenozoic, the role of Volcanism and CO2 atmospheric concentrations. Proponent: Marco Brandano.
  • Component of the Sapienza University research project (year 2019) - Carbon cycle perturbation along the Cenozoic and the role of volcanism: insight from the carbonate sedimentary records and Ca-rich igneous rocks. Proponent: Marco Brandano.
  • Component of the PRIN 2017 (2019-2023) project - Intraplate deformation, magmatism and topographic evolution of a diffuse collisional belt: Insights into the geodynamics of the Arabia-Eurasia collisional zones.
