Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the Department of Earth Sciences of “Sapienza” University of Rome and lecturer of Remote Sensing (MSc) and Geological Risks (BSc). Co-founder and CEO of NHAZCA S.r.l., spin-off of the “Sapienza” University of Rome since 2009. MSc in Geology at the University of Florence in 2005 and PhD in Earth Sciences at the “Sapienza" University of Rome in 2009. Visiting researcher at the International Centre for Geohazards (Norway) in 2008. Organizer and director of the “International course on geotechnical and structural monitoring” (www.geotechnicalmonitoring.com) since 2013.
Author of about 120 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings concerning: a) engineering geology (landslides, subsidences, settlements, snow avalanches); b) geological remote sensing; c) geotechnical and structural monitoring; d) monitoring by ground based and satellite radar; e) monitoring of civil structures and infrastructures, including cultural heritages; f) geotechnical assets management.

Training 

  • 2005 Master’s Degree in Geological Sciences
  • 2009 PhD in Earth Sciences (visiting PhD student in 2008 at the International Center for Geohazards – Oslo, Norway)
