X-ray powder diffraction Laboratory

Information about the laboratory

The laboratory supports research as well as teaching activities. Sample preparation is carried out at the related Laboratory for microsamples preparation. Activities may be shortly resumed as follow:

  1. Sample preparation for flat sample measurements. Data elaboration aimed at phase identification and qualitative phase analysis by X-ray powder diffraction.
  2. Data collection on samples prepared as capillaries for quantitative phase analysis and structure refinements by the Rietveld method, also at in-situ non ambient conditions (T< 950°C).

Visits of the laboratory, internships and stages can be arranged upon booking. Quotations for measurements on behalf of a third party are available (updated May 2021).

Booking

Booking and sample delivery at the Laboratory. Data will be sent by e-mail or at the laboratory.
