Laboratory of Micropaleontology
Service information
The Laboratory of Micropaleontology is engaged in teaching and research activities related to biostratigraphy, paleoecology and paleoclimatology. The laboratory accommodates students, graduating and PhD students.
Instrumentation
The laboratory is supplied of 10 microscopes for the analysis of incoherent and coherent sediments. In the laboratory it is possible to consult the complete catalogue of the foraminifers of Ellis & Messina and a rich collection of micropaleontological literature. Moreover a significant collection of foraminifers, at specific level with relative descriptive cards, is present.
