AGREEMENT OF CULTURAL AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION BETWEEN DEPARTMENT OF EARTH SCIENCES, SAPIENZA UNIVERSITY OF ROME (ITALY) AND GEODYNAMICS RESEARCH CENTER, EHIME UNIVERSITY (JAPAN)

 

A specific agreement of scientific and cultural cooperation has been recently established between the Department of Earth Sciences and the prestigious Geodynamics Research Center of Ehime University in Japan. The respective scientific scholars responsible for the project are Prof. Vincenzo Stagno for Sapienza University of Rome and Prof. Tetsuo Irifune for Ehime University.

Scientific and educational cooperation will be undertaken in the fields of:

    a) Physics and chemistry of magmas at high pressures (P) and temperatures (T);
    b) Synthesis of minerals at high P and T;
    c) Nanosctructural and spectroscopic measurements of geomaterials.

In order to achieve the objectives scientific and educational cooperation will be implemented through exchange of visits by scholars; participation in research programs; organization of scientific meetings, seminars and courses on subject(s) laid down in the Agreement; exchange of scientific information and scientific papers.
