The Laboratory is used for enrichment procedures of mineral fibers present in soils and rocks. Furthermore, the laboratory is used for the handling of hazardous fine dusts and mineral fibers prior to sample analysis (SEM, TEM, RX, IR, ICP).

Devices
The laboratory is equipped with a laminar flow hood for the safe handling of hazardous fine dusts, asbestos containing materials, and asbestos bearing rocks. Inside the hood there is an analytical balance.

• Handling of hazardous fine dusts.
