  2. Geological cartography of marine areas and GIS analysis
  3. Geomorphology of the continental margins with attention to the submarine landslides, canyons, and fluid escape morphologies
  4. Mapping of marine geohazard
  5. Mapping of the seafloor morphologies and potential habitats.

 
Study areas
Southern Tyrrhenian, Sicily Channel, Western Ionian, Tuscan Archipelago and Southern Pacific Ocean.

  • 2020: “Seal of Excellent” for the proposal “MEGAFLOODS ON EARTH: The Zanclean (Lower Pliocene) termination of the Messinian Salinity Crisis in the Mediterranean”. Horizon 2020’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions call H2020-MSCA-IF-2020.
